Annapolis District RCMP seeking public assistance in arson investigation

Annapolis District RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in an arson investigation.

On September 4, 2022, at approximately 5 a.m., Annapolis District RCMP and fire, responded to a report of a structure fie on Hwy. 1 in Wilmot. RCMP officers learned that a storage facility behind a strip mall in Wilmot was on fire. The fire was eventually extinguished after several storage units were destroyed. The fire was determined to be the result of arson. RCMP investigators believe two people were involved in setting the fire.

Over the last 2 months, investigators have been following up on information obtained throughout the investigation. To date, investigators have been unable to identify those involved.

Investigators are now asking that anyone with information on this incident, or who knows who may be involved, call the Annapolis District RCMP at 902-665-4481.
