Following further investigation, on Sept. 26, 2022, at approximately 7:20 p.m., the 30-year-old individual was located in the community of Little Buffalo, Alta.
The individual was taken into police custody without incident with the assistance of the Western Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Service, Air Services, Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit and the Peace Regional RCMP.
Peace Regional RCMP would like to advise residents that any other shelters in place issued by Woodland Cree First Nation are no longer needed. Peace Regional RCMP would like to thank area residents for their patience and understanding throughout the shelters in place.

Peace Regional RCMP advise residents of Cadotte Lake to shelter in place
There will not be a Police Initiated Public Alert; however, the shelter in place remains.
Peace Regional RCMP are advising residents in the Cadotte Lake area to shelter in place. Please stay inside your homes.
There have been reports that the 30-year-old individual, who is wanted on a warrant for murder, is in the area. It is alleged that the individual is armed and may be travelling on a stolen quad.
Due to the imminent threat to the community, the RCMP will be issuing a Police Initiated Public Alert. Alberta RCMP are activating additional resources to protect the community and to search for the 30-year-old individual.
