Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigates homicide in Slave Lake

On June 5, 2022 at 3:11 p.m., Slave Lake RCMP received a report of a possible stabbing victim in the South West area of Slave Lake. Officers located a 22-year-old male with multiple injuries. Officers made patrols of the area and located another 28-year-old male with injuries. Both individuals were transported by EMS to hospital. As police continued to search the area, they located a deceased victim. Officers secured the area and called in the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit who has taken over the investigation.

The male victim has yet to be identified.
