On Sept. 30, 2022, at approximately 5 a.m., Rocky Mountain House RCMP were dispatched to assist EMS with a report of an unconscious male on the O'Chiese First Nation. The male was declared deceased at the scene.
An autopsy was conducted at the Calgary Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Oct. 2, 2022, and the death has been deemed a homicide.
The investigation continues, and an update will be provided when further details can be released.
