June 13 to 19 marks National Public Service Week, a federal campaign recognizing the exceptional contributions of Public Service Employees (PSE) throughout the Government of Canada. Within the RCMP from Forensics, Telecommunications, IT, Human Resources, and more the public service plays a critical role in upholding the safety and well-being of Albertans each and every day.

As part of Canada's public service, individuals can expect an exciting and vibrant career driven by meaningful work. A PSE background opens individuals up to diverse opportunities within the federal government, allowing for continued learning and advancement. Within the Alberta RCMP, PSEs hold positions in the following areas:

  • Administrative support
  • Air and marine operations
  • Community and cultural affairs
  • Criminal intelligence
  • Forensics
  • Human resources
  • Information management and information technology
  • Law
  • Psychology
  • Research and analysis
  • Technical investigative and software engineering
  • Telecommunications
  • Wellness and safety

"As an organization, we could not do what we do without the support of public service and civilian employees. Their dedication to their duties is critical to the safety and well-being of all Albertans. For that – on behalf of the Alberta RCMP – I extend my sincerest thanks."

- Deputy Commissioner Curtis Zablocki, Commanding Officer of the Alberta RCMP
