A 70-year-old man from Eel River Crossing, N.B. has been arrested following an assault with a weapon in the community.
On November 7, 2022 at approximately 1:15 p.m., members of the Campbellton RCMP responded to a report of a man that had been shot. When police arrived at the scene, they found a 49-year-old man that was suffering from two gunshot wounds to the leg. He was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 70-year-old man was arrested at the scene in connection with the investigation. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing.
