62-year-old man dies following collision involving pedestrian

A 62-year-old man from Maugerville, N.B., has died following a collision in the community.

On January 10, 2022, at approximately 7 p.m., members of the Oromocto RCMP responded to a report of a collision on Route 105 involving a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

Police believe the collision occurred when the driver of the tractor-trailer left the roadway and collided with a man standing in his driveway.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the man's exact cause of death.
