News release

A 25-year-old man from Centreville, N.B., has died following a single-motorcycle crash in Kilburn, N.B.

On May 11, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Perth Andover RCMP, Perth Andover fire department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a person in distress along the riverbank in Kilburn.

Once on scene, police located an unconscious man in the water and a crashed motorcycle near the water. Police got the man to shore and administered first aid until paramedics arrived. The 25-year-old man and sole occupant of the motorcycle was transported to hospital in critical condition, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver of the motorcycle, travelling on Route 105, lost control, left the road and was ejected from his motorcycle.
