A car strikes a house and another vehicle in Bay Roberts on January 9, 2021.

On January 9, 2021, Bay Roberts RCMP arrested a 41-year-old man for impaired driving after the vehicle he was driving struck a house on Water Street and another vehicle.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., police attended the scene and learned that the driver of a Honda Civic struck a house and then tried to flee. The driver then collided head-on with another vehicle and came to a stop. He was arrested for impaired driving and provided breath samples that were two and a half times the legal limit. His driver's licence was suspended and his vehicle was seized and impounded. The man was released from custody and will appear in court in March, 2021.
