Update - Thompson RCMP investigating suspicious death

Thompson RCMP are requesting public assistance in relation to the August 21, 2021, death of 52-year-old Craig Lafoy Clemons, who was found unresponsive on Nickel Road. He was taken to hospital and pronounced deceased.

He was last seen leaving the YWCA at 10:25 pm and is believed to have been in the downtown area of Thompson that night. He's described as being 5'8" in height and weighing 150 lbs.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have seen or interacted with Clemons on the night of August 20 or the morning of August 21, to contact the Thompson RCMP at 204-677-6909, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.


On August 21, 2021, at approximately 6:40 pm, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of an unresponsive male located outside a facility on Nickel Road in the City of Thompson.

The 52-year-old male was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Thompson RCMP along with our Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate.
