Strathmore RCMP execute search warrant for cannabis production

On June 14, 2021, Strathmore RCMP executed a search warrant at a rural property south of Langdon, Alta. In relation to an on-going cannabis production investigation.

A total of 544 illicit cannabis plants were seized as a result of the search. The plants are of significant value.

A 49-year-old male, an 82-year-old male and a 38-year-old male, are all from Calgary, have each been charged with the following:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Distribution
  • Cultivation of illicit cannabis in a place that is not their dwelling house
  • Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence (x4 for each accused)
  • Fraud over $5,000.

The 49-year-old male and the 82-year-old male are additionally charged with writing a false statement.
