Strathcona County RCMP seek public assistance with a shooting/motor vehicle collision

On Aug. 1, 2021, at approximately 10:05 p.m., RCMP were called to a collision at Wye road and Ordze road intersection, which resulted due to a previous altercation with shots fired.

An eastbound 2007 Hyundai Elantra on Wye Road was struck from behind by a 2003 Nissan Xterra who was responsible for shooting at the Hyundai earlier on Wye Road. The driver of the Nissan shot out the driver window of the Hyundai, with what is believed to be a shotgun, and then rammed into the back of the Hyundai at Wye Road and Ordze Road intersection. The black Nissan then left the scene. The driver of the Hyundai was not injured.
