Stonewall/Headingley RCMP respond to serious two-vehicle collision

News release

On June 26, 2021, at approximately 3:40 pm, Stonewall/Headingley RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of McGillivray Blvd and McCreary Road, in the Rural Municipality of Macdonald.

The investigation has determined that a vehicle, heading southbound on McCreary Road, stopped at the intersection and was attempting to enter onto McGillivray Blvd when it clipped an eastbound van. The van then entered the ditch and struck a tree.

The 17-year-old male driver of the vehicle attempting to enter onto McGillivray Blvd, from Winnipeg, was not injured. The 53-year-old male driver and 17-year-old male passenger, both from Winnipeg, were transported to hospital with serious injuries. The 17-year-old male remains in critical condition.

Stonewall/Headingley RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
