On Thursday April 29, 2021, Black Lake RCMP officers were alerted to a vehicle carrying a large quantity of alcohol passing through La Ronge heading toward Black Lake, Saskatchewan.

The vehicle was located and stopped by RCMP. Alcohol was seen by police in plain sight in the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle resulted in police locating and seizing 76 - 750 ml bottles of whiskey, two 1.75 liter bottles of whiskey, one 30 pack of beer and a 24 pack of coolers.

There were two occupants in the vehicle and both have been charged with Bootlegging under Sec. 138(1) of the Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act.

Any information relating to the illegal sale or transportation of alcohol should be reported immediately to your nearest RCMP Detachment.
