Sheshatshiu RCMP arrests ATV operator for impaired driving

Sheshatshiu RCMP arrested man operating an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) for impaired driving on October 5, 2021.

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, police on patrol observed an ATV traveling at a high rate of speed. The ATV pulled into a driveway and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver showed signs of impairment, was arrested and transported to the detachment and provided breath samples that were more than two and a half times the legal limit.

The man was released from custody with a suspended driver's licence and is set to appear in court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving.

The ATV was seized and impounded.
