Selkirk RCMP recover drugs and weapons during search

On July 30, 2021, Selkirk RCMP, with assistance from the Emergency Response Team and our Police Dog Services unit, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Queen Avenue in the City of Selkirk. The search resulted in the recovery of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, cannabis, purple down, illicit pills, numerous knives, two airguns and drug paraphernalia.

34-year-old Daniel Cook, from Selkirk, was arrested on scene, and was remanded into custody on charges including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 3, Weapons Possession Contrary to Order x 4, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Resist Arrest and Fail to Comply with Release Order Condition x 5.

Selkirk RCMP continue to investigate.
