Late last month, Red Deer RCMP's Crime Reduction Team were conducting an investigation of a stolen vehicle when they located an individual connected to the vehicle. During the investigation, a 38-year-old male of Red Deer was found to be in possession of a substantial amount of drugs.
- After conducting a search, investigators located and seized:
- 273 grams of methamphetamine
- 20 grams of Fentanyl
- 29 grams of Psilocybin
- 103 grams of Cannabis Solid concentrate
- 47 grams of Cocaine
- 14 capsules of Hydromorphone
- 20 capsules of Oxycodone
- 131 capsules of Fentanyl Pills
- The 38-year-old male faces nine charges, including:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x5)
- Possession of an imitation weapon or weapon for dangerous purpose
- Fail to comply with a resource order
- Proceeds of crime
- Unlawfully distributing cannabis
He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear at Red Deer Provincial Court on Feb. 18, 2021.
