Red Deer RCMP arrest wanted male with stolen property

On Sept. 24, 2021, at approximately 4:46 p.m., a member of the Red Deer RCMP was conducting patrols in the area of Lower Fairview in Red Deer, Alta. when he observed a suspicious vehicle.

The officer conducted checks on the vehicle licence plate and determined that the licence plate was stolen.

The Red Deer Crime Reduction Team (CRT) attended the area and monitored the vehicle until it was parked before approaching the vehicle where two males were arrested.

It was determined through investigation that the vehicle was stolen out of Red Deer, Alta.

A male of no fixed address was arrested on outstanding warrants.

The male is facing multiple additional charges:

  • Possession of property over
  • Possession of property under x4
  • Possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine
  • Misuse of credit card
  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Illegal possession of government documents x 2
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to order

This investigation is ongoing.
