On May 15, 2021, at approximately 10:00 pm, RCMP Traffic Services was patrolling on the Trans-Canada Highway in the RM of Headingley when a traffic stop was conducted on a westbound vehicle with an Alberta licence plate.
An investigation ensued, and nine kilograms of cocaine and an undisclosed sum of Canadian currency were seized.
Two males, 38 and 33, from Alberta, were arrested and are facing charges. They remain in custody. The investigation continues.
