RCMP seeking assistance in locating missing guitars

After a break and enter at a local business on the weekend, Whitehorse RCMP hope the public can help locate several stolen guitars and other musical equipment.

Sometime overnight between Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19, thieves made off with a variety of instruments from Road Dogs Music Supply, located on 3rd Ave in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Owners and staff at the store report that some of the missing items include:

  • Three guitars:
    • Epiphone Flying V (colour is ebony)
    • Epiphone Les Paul Standard (colour is ivy green)
    • Epiphone SG Special P-90 (colour is Pelham blue)
  • Multiple pedals:
    • Electro Harmonix Epitome Pedal
    • JOYO Classic Chorus Pedal
    • Nux Mini Studio Pedal
    • Radial Twin City Pedal
    • Kingtone Soloist Pedal
    • Way Huge Smalls Super Lead
    • Electro Harmonix Metal Muff
  • Other music accessories including a Profile Dreadnought acoustic bag

"It's disappointing for all of us when thefts occur at local businesses," says Cpl. Tim Anderson, Watch Commander with Whitehorse RCMP. "Anyone who sees or has information about what could be a stolen guitar or other items related to this offence is encouraged to be safe and contact police."

Police are gathering surveillance footage from the area and working with Forensic Identification Services to collect evidence.
