Correction: A previous version of this news release stated the vehicle was stolen from the Saint-Léonard area. The correct community is Blue Bell. We apologize for the error.

The Saint-Léonard RCMP is asking for the public's help identifying a person of interest following a break, enter and theft of a vehicle in Blue Bell, N.B.

On August 3, 2021, police received a report of a break, enter, and theft at a seasonal home on Camp Lane. The incident is believed to have occurred on July 28 at approximately 3:15 p.m.

The individual stole a white and grey 1999 Suzuki Vitara with New Brunswick licence plate BXW 558 from outside the residence.

Police are releasing surveillance video photos of the individual, and are hoping despite the quality of the images, information from the public may help identify them or provide additional information to help the investigation. The individual is described as wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, and a black tuque. He was also carrying a black book bag.

Anyone with information about the break, enter and theft, or who has seen the vehicle since July 28 is asked to contact the Saint-Léonard RCMP at 506-357-4300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
