The Neguac RCMP is asking for the public's assistance to help identify a person of interest following a break, enter and theft in Espenoôpetitj First Nation, N.B.

On March 15, 2021, at approximately 1 a.m., an individual forcefully gained entry to a storage container behind the Espenoôpetitj Wellness Centre near Bayview Drive. A 12,000 BTU Fujitsu mini-split heat pump was taken. The individual was last seen leaving the scene on foot towards St. Anns Street.

The RCMP is releasing a surveillance video photo of the individual and is hoping that despite the quality of the image, information from the public may help identify the person or provide additional information to help the investigation.

At the time, the individual was wearing black jacket, grey sweatshirt, black pants, black and white shoes and was carrying a black backpack.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the early morning hours of March 15, or who recognizes the individual in the photo is asked to contact the Neguac RCMP Detachment at 506-776-3000. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
