Update: RCMP investigating theft of vehicle

Update: July 21, 2021- Police have located the vehicle burnt in the Welsford area on July 19. Anyone with information about the incident or who has seen the vehicle between July 11 and July 12 is asked to contact the Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP at 506-757-1020. The investigation is ongoing.

The Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP is asking for the public's help to locate a stolen vehicle from Nerepis, N.B.

On July 12, 2021, the RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from outside a residence on Sunset Valley Road. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on July 11, 2021 and 9:30 a.m. on July 12.

The vehicle is described as a 2017 black and grey Chevrolet Aveo with New Brunswick licence plate number GSG 946 and vehicle identification number KL1TD555657B185437. The body of the vehicle is black with a grey roof. A picture of the vehicle is not available.

Anyone with information about the theft, or who has seen the vehicle since July 11 is asked to contact the Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP at 506-757-1020.
