RCMP investigating serious vehicle collision on Indian Road

East Hants District RCMP is investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Indian Rd. in MacPhees Corner.

At approximately 7 a.m. yesterday morning, police were notified of a motor vehicle collision on Indian Rd. in MacPhees Corner. Police, fire and EHS attended the scene where it was determined that a green car had been travelling north on Indian Rd. when it struck a black car that had pulled out of Salem Cross Rd.

The driver and sole occupant of the green car, a 24-year-old man from Wolfville, suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance. The driver and sole occupant of the black car, a 25-year-old woman from Milford, suffered life-threatening injuries. Lifeflight attempted to land in the area to airlift the woman to hospital, but was unable to do so due to weather conditions. The woman was subsequently transported to hospital by ambulance.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Indian Rd. was closed for approximately six hours but has since reopened.
