RCMP investigating homicide of 19-year-old man

The New Brunswick RCMP's Major Crime Unit is investigating the death of a 19-year-old Moncton man that occurred in the early morning hours of March 12, 2021.

Members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle collision with a pedestrian at 3:50 a.m., in the parking lot of a business located at 411 Elmwood Drive in Moncton, N.B.

Once on scene, police found a 19-year-old man deceased. Investigators have determined that his death is the result of a homicide. Police were able to determine that the driver of the vehicle purposely struck the pedestrian.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle prior to police arriving.

Anyone who may have seen activity around 411 Elmwood Drive between 3:30 and 4 a.m., or who has information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the Major Crime Unit at 506-857-2400.
