RCMP investigating Co-op fire in Igloolik as suspicious

The RCMP are investigating the Co-op fire in Igloolik as suspicious. At approximately 3:45 a.m. on January 20th, 2021, the RCMP along with volunteer fire fighters responded to a report of a fire at the Co-op store in Igloolik.

Nunavut RCMP Fire Investigators have worked closely with the Office of the Fire Marshall investigating the cause of the fire. The RCMP Fire Investigators have now cleared the scene.

Igloolik RCMP will continue with the investigation.

Igloolik RCMP is asking anyone with information related to the fire to contact the RCMP at 979-1111 or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. You can also text a tip to Crime Stopper. The process is completely secure and anonymous. Text NWTNUTIPS plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).
