RCMP investigating break, enter and theft at ball field

The Kings District RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft at a business in Cardigan, P.E.I., and is hoping information from the public may help their investigation.

On June 26, 2021, police received a report of a break, enter and theft at the Cardigan Baseball and Softball Complex-Ball Field located on Chapel Road. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 8 p.m., on June 25 and 8 a.m., on June 26.

Police believe at least one individual gained entry to the canteen on the property causing damages to two doors and locks. Several types of snacks were stolen.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area between the evening hours of June 25 and morning hours of June 26, or who has information about the break and enter and theft to contact the Kings District RCMP at 902-218-1202. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
