RCMP investigates two suspicious fires

The Integrated RCMP/HRP General Investigation Section of the Criminal Investigation Division is investigating two suspicious fires that occurred in East Preston.

At approximately 2:25 p.m. on July 19, Halifax District RCMP responded to a structure fire on Lower Partridge River Rd. When police arrived, the garage attached to a home was on fire. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency also responded. The garage was destroyed and the fire was believed to be suspicious in nature.

At 1:50 a.m. on July 20, Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded to a second structure fire at the same address on Lower Partridge River Rd. The home was on fire and destroyed.

No one was injured during theses incidents. The cause of the fires is under investigation.
