RCMP investigates thefts at construction sites

Halifax District RCMP is investigating two thefts from construction sites in Oyster Pond and Porters Lake.

Between 4 p.m. on April 30 and 4 p.m. on May 3, several items were stolen from a construction site on East Jeddore Rd. in Oyster Pond. The door to the construction trailer was damaged and entry was gained. Stolen items include five sections of chain link fence, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE) and an eye wash station.

Overnight between May 2 and May 3, several items were stolen from a construction site on Friendship Ln. in Porters Lake. Stolen items included 58 bundles of fibreglass insulation, 14 rolls of poly vapour barrier, 120 tubes of acoustic sealant, 15 boxes of staples, nine rolls of blue tape, 10 cans of spray foam, two step ladders and a roll of flat stock aluminium.
