RCMP executes search warrant at Virgin Arm residence, large quantity of drugs and cash seized

A quantity of cocaine, illicit cannabis, cash, weapons and other items consistent with drug trafficking were seized following the execution of a search warrant at a Virgin Arm residence on June 16, 2021.

RCMP officers from Twillingate and Gander executed a search warrant at a residence in Virgin Arm on June 16, 2021.

On Wednesday afternoon, police entered the residence, searched the home and arrested a man inside. Approximately 1.1 kilograms of cocaine, 1.3 kilograms of cannabis, $75,000.00 in cash, nine grams of hash oil, 450 grams of illicit cannabis edibles and other items consistent with drug trafficking were located and seized, as well as a firearm and a prohibited weapon.

The man was released from police custody and the investigation is continuing. Police anticipate a number of drug-related charges will be laid.
