On November 5, 2021, at approximately 1:35 pm, Powerview RCMP responded to a report of found human remains near the shore of the Winnipeg River located in Sagkeeng First Nation (Fort Alexander).
Investigators, along with an anthropologist, attended the scene and conducted a search of the area.
The remains were removed under the guidance of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the anthropologist and are currently being examined.
Powerview RCMP continue to investigate.
