A residence in Deer Park was destroyed by fire on May 29, with the remains of the 64-year-old home owner found inside.
Police officers from both Holyrood and Ferryland Detachments responded to a report of the fire and found the home engulfed in flames. Investigators found the remains inside the dwelling. The Office of the Fire Commissioner and the Chief Medical Examiner are engaged.
The investigation is continuing.
