The Peace Regional RCMP completed a three-day crime reduction initiative that targeted offenders with outstanding arrest warrants in the Peace River area.
Between March 26, 2021 and March 28, 2021, the Peace Regional RCMP, along with the assistance of the RCMP Police Dog Services, arrested 28 individuals, which resulted in the execution of 112 outstanding warrants. A search warrant was also executed at a residence in Peace River, Alta., and firearms were seized.
The Peace Regional RCMP continue to focus on crime reduction efforts, and this initiative sends a message that those responsible for these criminal activities will be held accountable. The RCMP will continue to identify and target repeat, problem offenders to work towards safer communities.
"Our communities are not immune to crime, and many of our residents have been victimized." says Sgt. Dave Browne of the Peace Regional RCMP. "Identifying and apprehending prolific offenders is one of the many ways we hope to reduce crime in our community."
