Okotoks RCMP seize drugs and stolen property following a search warrant

On May 20, 2021, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Okotoks RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) and the Okotoks RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) executed a search warrant at a residence on Hunter's Crescent in Okotoks, Alta. following a lengthy investigation.

Police seized what is suspected to be 4 grams of fentanyl, 15 grams of methamphetamine, and 10 ounces of heroin as well as stolen property.

A 59-year-old male of Okotoks, Alta. has been charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of stolen property

The 59-year-old male was released from custody on an Undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in Okotoks Provincial Court on July 16, 2021.

Okotoks GIS/CRU would like to thank Okotoks RCMP, High River RCMP, Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) and the Calgary Police Service for their assistance during this investigation. This is a significant drug seizure for the Town of Okotoks, and a major disruption of drug trafficking in the community.
