Inspector Dave Casey is the new Officer in Charge of North District.
With 19 years of experience with the RCMP, Insp. Casey has gained valuable experience in a variety of policing environments, including in rural communities, municipal units, division and national headquarters. He has served in "K" Division (Alberta), and at the National Headquarters in Ottawa as part of the Prime Minister's Protection Detail.
Insp. Casey is new to the Northwest Territories. He previously worked for Alberta RCMP as a supervisor in the Divisional Member Operational Support Section in 2018. From 2019 to recently as a District Advisory NCO in Central Alberta District overseeing 5 large municipal detachments
"We have a dedicated team of employees serving our northern communities", adds Insp Casey. "During my mandate, I hope to build on those relationships developed by our employees and ensure we are meeting the needs of our clients.
Insp. Casey is originally from Nova Scotia. He previously served 18 years in the military with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, which included tours in Croatia and Kosovo. When not working, he and his wife Sherri participate in a variety of outdoor activities and are thoroughly enjoying exploring the Northwest Territories.
