Norway House RCMP respond to stabbing

On September 19, 2021, at approximately 2:35 am, Norway House RCMP received a report of a stabbing at a residence in the community.

Officers attended to the scene and were advised that a 12-year-old boy had been stabbed while sleeping in his bed. He was taken to the local hospital where he was then transported by life-flight to Winnipeg. The victim was treated and later released and is now back at home recovering.

It is believed that a suspect broke into the home and attacked the 12-year-old boy before fleeing the scene on foot. There were no witnesses to the suspect entering or leaving the residence.
