Norway House RCMP investigating homicide

On October 3, 2021, at approximately 12:35 am, Norway House RCMP responded to a report of an assault in the community.

While speaking to the male victim, officers were advised to check on the well-being of a female at a residence located on Provincial Road 373, as it was believed she was being assaulted. Officers arrived at the residence to find a 25-year-old female with serious injuries. She was transported to hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

On October 5, 2021, RCMP charged 30-year-old Don Travis Forbister, of Norway House, with 2nd Degree Murder. He was remanded into custody for a court appearance scheduled today in Thompson Provincial Court.

Norway House RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
