Update: Missing 29-year-old man located deceased

Update: July 21 - The 29-year-old man from Elsipogtog reported missing on July 19 has been located deceased. Volunteers with the Tri-County Ground Search and Rescue team located the individual in a wooded area in Elsipogtog. Police do not believe criminality to be a factor. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man's exact cause of death. Our thoughts are with the family and community at this time.

The Elsipogtog RCMP is asking for the public's help locating a missing 29-year-old man from the community.

He was last seen on July 16, 2021, at approximately 8 p.m., on Main Street. He was reported missing to police on July 19. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate him, but have so far been unsuccessful. His family and police are concerned for his well-being.

Police are continuing to search areas of interest and are engaging with local Ground Search and Rescue volunteers for assistance.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts, or who may have seen him since July 16 is asked to contact the Elsipogtog RCMP at 506-523-8282.
