On July 27, 2021, RCMP Major Crime Services investigators have confirmed that the remains located on the morning of July 18, 2021, in Stead, Manitoba are those of Clifford Joseph.
Joseph has been missing since June 7, 2021, when he was last seen leaving his residence on Road 44 East in the RM of St. Clements.
Police have earlier confirmed that Joseph's disappearance is being investigated as a homicide and that Eric Wildman is considered a suspect in the investigation.
No arrests have been made in relation to the disappearance of Joseph, and no charges have been laid.
The investigation continues.
On the morning of July 18, 2021, as part of ongoing efforts to locate Clifford Joseph, officers with the RCMP's Search and Rescue team located human remains in Stead, Manitoba.
The identity of the individual has not been determined.
The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
