Man arrested in stolen property investigation

Kings District RCMP has arrested a man in relation to a stolen property investigation.

Kings District RCMP was called to the parking lot of a New Minas restaurant shortly before midnight on July 11 after a complaint was made of a person playing guitar outside a vehicle. Police attended the location and located the person. Through their investigation, police determined that the guitar player was in possession of a stolen vehicle and stolen property. Police also determined that the man had outstanding warrants from Halifax.

A 48-year-old Lower Sackville man was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, Possession of Stolen Property under $5000 and for Breach of a Release Order. He was later transferred into the custody of Halifax Regional Police to deal with the outstanding warrants. The man will appear in Kentville Provincial Court at a later date.
