News release

Lunenburg District RCMP charged a 39-year-old Lunenburg man after cocaine was found in his possession during his arrest on a warrant.

On March 24, at 1:50 a.m., RCMP members were called to a service station in Wileville regarding an unknown male hanging around the business and asking patrons for a drive. The caller was concerned about the man's behaviour and believed he was intoxicated. When RCMP officers arrived, they located the man outside and determined he was wanted on a province-wide warrant. The man was arrested without incident, and when officers conducted a search of his belongings, they found cocaine and cash.

Shane Robert Comeau was held in custody and attended Bridgewater Provincial Court on March 24. He is charged with Possession for the Purpose to Traffic in a Controlled Substance (Cocaine). Comeau was released from custody and is schedule to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on April 21.

The investigation is ongoing
