As a result of the ongoing investigation into a shooting at a residence in Lloydminster, Sask. on Sept. 21, 2021, Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section have arrested and charged a 20-year-old female of Onion Lake, Sask., a 23-year-old female of Lloydminster, Alta and a 20-year-old male of Fishing Lake, Alta. with numerous offences, including:

  • Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Pointing a firearm
  • Assault with a weapon

The 20-year-old female and the 20-year-old male have also been charged with several counts of failing to abide by conditions from a prior release order.

Lloydminster RCMP have issued warrants for the arrest of a fourth individual involved in this incident, Myron Moyah, 18, of Fishing Lake, Alta. Moyah is considered armed and dangerous at this time and should not be approached if located by the public.

Lloydminster RCMP respond to shooting at a residence

Sept. 22, 2021

On Sept. 21, 2021, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP responded to a report of a shooting at a residence near the 2600 block of 44 Avenue in Lloydminster. Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle attended a residence in this area, and one of the occupants met with one of the residents of the house. During this meeting, another male approached the house and discharged a firearm several times.

Police were able to intercept the suspect vehicle, but were not able to apprehend the suspects due to the enhanced level of danger to the public that was created by the suspect's driving pattern.

Lloydminster RCMP believe this was a targeted incident with no additional random threat to the public. Police continue to investigate this matter.
