On June 23, 2021, Leduc RCMP Drug Unit, with the assistance of Leduc RCMP Crime Reduction Unit and Beaumont General Investigation Section, arrested a male in Beaumont following a week long drug trafficking investigation.
The arrest resulted in the seizure of 64 grams of cocaine and 4 grams of heroin.
A 27-year-old male of Edmonton was charged with the following:
- Trafficking controlled substance - Cocaine
- Trafficking controlled substance - Heroin
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking - Heroin
He was released from custody to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on Aug. 5, 2021.
