Kings District RCMP responds to serious collision

Kings District RCMP are investigating following a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in New Minas.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. yesterday, police were notified of a collision in a business parking lot on Commercial St. in New Minas. Police and EHS attended the scene and found that a 63-year-old woman had been struck by a car and sustained life-threatening injuries. The woman was taken to hospital in Halifax by Lifeflight. The 62-year-old female driver of the car was uninjured.

The RCMP's investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
