JFO seize methamphetamine, cocaine and weapons during search warrant Summerside

On Thursday May 13th, 2021, the Prince District JFO Drug Unit which is comprised of RCMP, Summerside and Kensington police officers, executed a search warrant on Water Street in Summerside.

Lawrence Cameron and Ashley Kurylyk were both arrested during the execution of the warrant. As a result of the search, police seized 25 grams of cocaine, 52 grams of crystal meth., $4497 in cash, a money counter, brass knuckles, 2 switchblades, 3 ounces of hash, methylphenidate pills, oxycodone pills, hydromorphone pills, and other prescription pills.

Both Cameron and Kurylyk have been charged with various drug trafficking and weapons charges. Mr. Cameron was held in custody and will appear in Provincial Court on May 14th, 2021.

Mr. Cameron has a criminal record with several convictions for drug trafficking and was on probation for these previous convictions at the time of his arrest.

The Summerside Major Crime Unit and the RCMP Police Dog Services assisted Prince JFO with executing the search warrant.
