Holyrood RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred this morning (September 21, 2021) on the Trans-Canada Highway near Paddy's Pond involving an all-terrain vehicle and a car.
At approximately 7:30 a.m., police responded the report of the head-on collision. The operator of the ATV, a 50-year-old man, died at the scene. The two occupants of the car were transported for medical treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
A Collision Re-Constructionist with RCMP Traffic Services attended the scene and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is engaged.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
