Police Service Dog Grinch locates wanted man on May 30, 2021.

Charges are expected in an investigation by Holyrood RCMP into a break and enter in Brigus Junction. Police responded after receiving a report of a break and enter in progress at a private residence on May 30, 2021 at approximately 8:00 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene the man fled on foot into the woods. Police Dog Services East was called in to assist and, a short time later, Police Service Dog Grinch located the man five kilometers away near Gushue's Pond Park. He was arrested and taken into custody and later transferred to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, which had three outstanding arrest warrants for the individual.

Charges are pending in relation to the break and enter.
