Halifax District RCMP investigating after suspicious incidents

Halifax District RCMP is investigating after suspicious incidents were reported on Cole Harbour Rd. and Huntingdon Dr. in Cole Harbour.

On September 3, in the afternoon, police were dispatched to a complaint involving a young girl walking her dog on Cole Harbour Rd. when a red pickup truck began following her. The driver of the truck a man, eventually got out of his truck and began following the girl on foot. The girl ran home and advised her parents who contacted police. Police made an immediate patrol to the area but were unable to locate the man or the truck.

Later on the evening of September 3, police were dispatched to a similar complaint involving a young girl walking her dog on Huntingdon Dr. when a red pickup truck began following her. The driver of the truck did not get out this time and followed the girl who began running home. The truck pulled into a neighbour's driveway, turned around and drove away after the girl ran into her home. Again police made an immediate patrol to the are but were unable to locate the truck.

The truck is described as an older model Ford pickup truck, red in colour. The truck has a long box and a loud muffler. The driver is described as a man who appears to be in his forties. The man is tall and slim, with a long face and a partial beard.
