Halifax District RCMP is investigating a break-in at a business on Hwy. 7 in Sheet Harbour.

At approximately 3 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a complaint of a break-in at a gas station on Hwy. 7 in Sheet Harbour. Police learned that a black SUV had arrived at the gas station shortly before 2:30 a.m. and a man exited the SUV. The man damaged the front door of the gas station and gain access inside where he stole cigarettes, lighters and lottery tickets. The theft and damage to the door is valued at over $5,000.

The man returned to the vehicle and it was then learned that a woman had been accompanying the man in the black SUV. The SUV then fled the area heading west.

The SUV is believed to be the same Buick Enclave stolen from a business in Antigonish on August 9. The man is described as tall and thin. He was wearing a jean jacket, over a grey shirt with a hood, dark pants, a dark mask and black gloves. The woman is described as small, wearing a mask, gloves and a camouflage sweater.
