Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP makes arrest in robbery at Botwood Highway Ultramar

A 46-year-old Bishops Falls man was arrested following an investigation by Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP into a robbery that occurred at the Botwood Highway Ultramar gas station on Monday May 31, 2021.

Early in the morning on Monday, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP and Police Dog Services responded to the report of a robbery at the Botwood Highway Ultramar gas station. Surveillance video showed a man had entered the business and demanded money from the cashier before fleeing the area. A short while later, during a traffic stop, police observed that the driver matched the description of the man wanted for the robbery. The man was arrested.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on September 22, 2021 to face charges of robbery.
